Meet one of my favorite Families... The Jacksons'. While they were in town for a quick visit, mom decided she wanted some pictures before the new baby arrived... Of course I was IN... At the session, we quickly learned that "look at Shaleena" was not going to work for Braylon, so we had to let him run free... which it totally ok, because thats the beauty of childhood, the beauty of life, the beauty of relationship. I really got a chance to capture them as a family, naturally... and that is always my goal. Enjoy some of the images from our session...

Morgan + Kevin - Michigan Maternity Photography

Tis the season to be EXPECTING!! Its almost time for Morgan and Kevin to welcome their sweet baby girl. With the baby room painted and ready to go, Mommy Morgan wanted to remember this special time by taking some maternity pictures and I was honored to be her photographer. Weddings as a Second Shooter | LeoSage Images

I love second shooting weddings. My top two reasons are being able capture all of the details and capturing a lot of candid, natural moments. Remembering the dress, the tux, the floral arrangements, the decor, and all of those special touches that went into making each wedding special and unique. 

I starting second shooting weddings in 2006. My mentor, who I now call my sister and partner, Nicole of Nicole Adams Photography allowed me to assist her whenever she had a wedding. Over the years, we have developed a great friendship, and partnership by photographing weddings together. She is such a beautiful person, so giving, and has so much love for everyone. I celebrate you Nicole!! Thanks for giving me my start! 

Here are some of the images I captured at a recent wedding in Detroit. We were nervous because it was raining most of the day and the wedding was outside. One of those days when it rains while the sun is out... but when it was time for the wedding....all was well. I love it when that happens! The decor was absolutely beautiful... but the best part was the LOVE that was apparent between the couple, and all of their family and friends.

J&M Lighting Intensive LeoSage Images

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend Justin & Mary's Lighting Intensive in Chicago. What a great investment in myself and my business. I learned so such about Light... how to shape it,  and create dimension. We focused on natural light, on camera flash and off camera lighting, but we used it to make it look "natural". Here are some of my images from the workshop...

Family Session - Michigan

I love FAMILY... I really enjoy spending time with families to see how they interact with one another... to see how they make each other laugh.. to see the love that they share.. I say time and time again how important family is and I encourage everyone to cherish the time that they have with the people they love... and CALL ME when you want to document the life that you live and the people you cherish..

I love Senior Sessions... They are so much fun. Seniors are so excited about graduating, their futures, and just life in general. Its such a joy to provide a service that they can enjoy and have fun doing. I always encourage all of my clients to just be who they are. My goal is to always capture the essence of who you are.
