I love second shooting weddings. My top two reasons are being able capture all of the details and capturing a lot of candid, natural moments. Remembering the dress, the tux, the floral arrangements, the decor, and all of those special touches that went into making each wedding special and unique.
I starting second shooting weddings in 2006. My mentor, who I now call my sister and partner, Nicole of Nicole Adams Photography allowed me to assist her whenever she had a wedding. Over the years, we have developed a great friendship, and partnership by photographing weddings together. She is such a beautiful person, so giving, and has so much love for everyone. Here are some of the images I captured at a recent wedding in Detroit. We were nervous because it was raining most of the day and the wedding was outside. One of those days when it rains while the sun is out... but when it was time for the wedding....all was well. I love it when that happens! The decor was absolutely beautiful... but the best part was the LOVE that was apparent between the couple, and all of their family and friends.
