So, yesterday was a rough day... I did not know Whitney Houston personally, but my heart sank when I heard the news that she was gone... I am not sure what happened, and it actually does not even matter... I just want to talk a little bit about the great memories that I have of her...
So, I was introduced to Whitney Houston back in 1985 by my aunt... who loves to sing and loved Whitney's songs. The first song was "The Greatest Love of All". I would watch in awe as my aunt would sing.... Some other songs throughout the years that I absolutely loved were "You Give Good Love", "So Emotional", "Saving all my Love", Didn't we almost have it all", "Wanna Dance with Somebody", "and one of my all time favs "All the Man that I need"..that's like my theme song for the Hubby right now... at least the chorus..
Some of her later songs were pretty good too.. I liked "Its not right, but its ok" , "Heartbreak Hotel", and "Million Dollar Bill"
What's crazy is that my fam and I were having a family night yesterday and we were singing karaoke and people kept singing "I will always love you". As soon as I walked in the house, my Mom called me and told me that it was all over the radio... Whitney was gone.
What a tragic loss... she left this world way too soon. Prayers go out to her family...especially her daughter. I can't even imagine what she is going through right now.
But thank you Whitney, for all of the great things you added to the music industry.
