Food for Thought - Sushi

What have I been missing.....

I tried Sushi for the first time last year. I have always been a picky (for lack of a better word) eater. When I was younger, I would eat chicken and rice most of the time. I would never allow my food to touch each other, and I would eat one thing at a time... My how things have changed..and I am so happy it did.

Getting back to the Sushi... I hadn't tried it because when I heard the word Sushi, I automatically thought "Raw"... and I don't eat anything raw (except veggies, if that counts)...

Turns out... not all Sushi was raw.. There are some pieces that are cooked!!!

Let me just say DELISH!!!

I particularly like California Rolls and Shrimp Tempura... I haven't tried anything else yet... I am still taking baby steps.. lol

Nigel + Chimere - Birmingham, Michigan Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Nigel and Chimere at The Reserve in Birmingham. It was my first morning wedding, which started at 11am. Despite the rain that reared its head on and off throughout the day, everything was perfect and no one had any worries. The only thing that mattered was that the day finally arrived and Chimere and Nigel were about to take the first step into sharing the rest of their days together. By the end of the day the sun was shining like it never rained at all.. What a great way to congratulate these two on becoming one!

I just wanted to share a slideshow to revisit that special day for such an awesome couple..

Sweet 16 Birthday - Auburn Hills, Michigan

Meet Teaira! She is truly one of the sweetest girls I know. She is such a free spirit, always smiling and laughing... and she loves trees (I learned that at our session). Kyle turns 1! - Birthday Session

Meet Kyle.. If you have been on my blog before, this is not your first time seeing Kyle. But, this session was special...Why? Because Kyle is now the BIG 1.. It was a pretty long session and by the time I finished taking pictures of "a day in the life of Kyle"...we were all tired, including Grandma... Here are some images from the session...

Surprisingly, Kyle wasn't excited to dig into the cake... we had to put special treats in for him to eat it... But it was GOOD cake...

I know, I know... I have been gone for a while. Its not because I have not been working....its the exact opposite.. Life happened, and I have been working so hard, that I have neglected my sweet little blog.

My new task: CONSISTENCY!

I am developing a plan to stay consistent with the blog and hopefully you will join me on this journey.
